Scientific Spirituality – Religion of the Future

I really liked the following articles: Hence posting it here : note that the following text snippet is being copied from http://www.awgp.org/gamma/ScientificSpirituality

=============================================================

The universe comes out of the union of two fundamental forces: matter (jada or ‘that which gives shape’) and consciousness (chetan). The discovery of the powers of Nature, their organization and the skills that make them useful to man is called science. Science can thus be called the unison of matter and consciousness. Science has made possible the progress of the human civilization.

It should be noted that the knowledge of the use of matter is not enough; its righteous use should also be considered. The same criterion also applies to consciousness. In the absence of their righteous use, matter and consciousness are open to be abused. The attraction of immediate gains is such that its long-term effects are not appreciated and this shortsighted judgment prompts man to misuse power. Ultimately, he creates a web in which he gets trapped, just like a fish caught in a net. This results in suffering, public anger and self-destruction, and yet it is a practice generally adopted by most people. The society and the government rarely succeed in preventing such practices.

Science can be legitimately credited for the current progress and prosperity, but it is incapable of differentiating between use and abuse. The only way to control its misuse is to incorporate wisdom based on foresightedness and the nobilities associated with human glory. This is the essence of spirituality. Spirituality means, “centered and established on the soul”, that is, activities in life are designed keeping the awakening of the soul as the aim. The soul is the individualized consciousness present in the human body.

The dual accomplishment of the righteous use of science and the refinement of consciousness is possible only through spirituality. One of the aims of the Yug Nirman Yojana (Movement for the Reconstruction of the Era) of All World Gayatri Pariwar is to integrate science and spirituality. Extensive research on this topic is going on at Brahmavarchas Research Institute and Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, India. The results of experiments show that spirituality has a sound scientific basis and spiritual principles practiced in daily life yield extraordinary benefits.

Foreign Indian Independence Day

15th Aug 2007. 60th Indian Independence Day..

It wasn't a holiday, but was like a day to remember for us with true patriotism. In the morning, I decided to do some activity which will help my country. Being in foreign country, that's the least that I could expect. On the same day, One of my friend told me about "Asha foundation" which mostly focus on child education in India Rural areas. I really liked the objective, the way Asha foundation was structured and was utilizing it's potential to implement really what it's supposed to do. I was quite impressed with the details that they had on their internet site. (http://www.ashanet.org/). I donated money to Asha on the occasion of Indian Independence day and made a decision of attending their meeting scheduled on the same day.

15 Aug 2007, 7.00 PM, I reached the meeting place, met new friends. But everyone was so friendly and helpful, I felt like I have met these people before, the meeting was quite impressive.

On the occasion of indian independence day, every year a parade gets organized in NY city on the following week-end. The parade starts from 42nd st Madison Ave and continues to 23rd st Madison Ave (Just in front of the CSFB building), which ends into Madison Square Park. We all decided to attend the NY independence parade. The patriotism in each one of us had reached to it's pinnacle and everyone was really memorizing each and every event that we used to follow on the independence day in india, the patriotic songs in the morning, "Prabhat Ferri", "Zanda Vandan", Cultural programs, etc....

We all still remember the patriotic Dawn... we all were geared up for the parade and marched towards 23rd st in NY city... We cheered for our country on the occasion of the independence parade... Priyanka Chopra, Sunita Wiliams were the Chief guest for the parade. The air was filled true patriotism... the sun rays were colored with orange, white, green colors.... NY was being converted into a small india...You can see all these Citizens of this small india in the photos... It was one of the memorable day to remember....

Birth of a new Writer

Since long time, I was thinking of writing about people, myself and my dear friends, but was not giving proper thought to it. Anyways here is my first blog of my life as we normally say like "Today is first day of rest of my life" and it's true. I have not thought about what am I going to write today in the blog, but this is just a start :)I was never fanatic about "writing", but this is only the gatway where "silence speaks". Since my childhood, mom and Dad always prompted me to write, but never inclined myself to do the same. Writing requires patience and close observation of the fact that we are trying to put it on the paper. I was always surprized about the creative minds of the writers. Here I may need to cross the boundary of my normal thinking and go beyond the limits.

The powerfull communication channel, which we normally ignore, has opened eyes for VIP people (Braille Language).
Devil mind never thinks, like mine has also stopped thinking. Writing is not only putting your thoughts in the words, but it's like expressing your thoughts which requires tremendous amount of thinking, which I will need to start with. Let me reassure myself. See you all for the next journal entry.
