Guru
"Guru" is the one who is perfect for you and will teach and guide you on the path walk of life... Unknowingly there are so many gurus that you meet in your day to today life... but you will have to see them and feel them around.... Always respect the other person who you interact or communicate.. there are so many things that you can learn from each one of them.. you just need to think and introspect.... what you need to take and what you need to leave.... Thinking always evolves you and prompts you to decide on your priorities...
Now coming back to the principles that you follow in your life.. Some follow some teachings, some don't where they have their own style of living.... I believe in learning from past as well as by looking at the future... There are few assets in our Indian Culture which helps us to evolve our thoughts.... The "Mahaguru" that I consider in my life is "Shrimad Bhagwad-Geeta".... Its truly an asset to Indian Society... The role model that I pray, cherish is "Shri Bhagwan Krishna"...
If you have not read "Bhagwad Geeta" yet..... please read it as soon as you can... Life is very short... Live it to fullest....Don't spend time in regretting in what you did in past... think about what you want to do and how you can pursue the same by learning from your past.... After reading and once you start following the principles, you will start really enjoying your life.... you will have less questions about the world outside.... You will have a big heart to accomodate the whole world.... Forgiveness and Sacrifice becomes your first principles....
I hope, you understand my Context here...Please provide your comments if you think of any point that you want to highlight or you disagree with...
Slow Life In High-Tech Community
How fast an individual can live his life, pursue his dreams and realize them into his actual life?.... The question looks very simple, but had the real life algorithm embedded into it.... Some people might say it all depends on your own perception.. but how do you determine your own perception? Again it relates to your consciousness... I am not going to go into a round robin circle where it's all hypothetical....
Here we are talking about how fast people are enjoying their lives than what do they do for their enjoyment. Each one has got the strenuous capacity beyond which he can not stretch himself/herself... but the true enjoyment is to get what you want is to be happy....
High-technology has always helped mankind for his day to day life improvement.... providing all the gadgets for your easy accessibility and comfort.... But the question is how much do you use the same facilities?
All this depends on the perceptions that each one of us are having... Gadgets help you ... but you have to remember how much do you utilize them.... Don't get addicted to it... Remember only one thing that the devices are made for you and not vice versa.... So always maintain the distance and focus on your prime activities in your life.... Few people love to talk, few love to explore, few to travel.... so use -tech technology to help to pursue what you want...
The whole world always revolves in cycles... When we say "Old is gold"... old values are preserved and being followed over utilizing your current .. why is this? Always people realize when they reach extreme of the new facility, then they realize that it is not worthwhile as that of the old one... Why don't we learn from past and take precautions while adopting any new learning...
Always remember that your life should move with the same pace as per your definition and expectation so that you can also move along ... At last, it's your life...You should be able to control it....
Please provide your comments...

Money Matters.... oh Is it?? I disagree
I am still having these questions and am not able to answer it satisfactorily.... To live a happy and healthy life, you don't need to be greedy about money and run behind it to earn....Here I feel that you loose your present and the tiny enjoyable moments unknowingly... In our day today life, we always compare ourselves with others around us and as part of competition, we would want to be ahead of them financially to succeed in the race of life.... What does it give you?? Satisfaction OR respect within your local friend Circle....
But remember that in pursuing so you normally forget your true passion of your life and starts counting money as your metrics for the success and happiness of your life.... My earnest request to all of you, please think in these aspects if you really feel there is some worthfullness in the topic that I am arguing about.... Happiness is in your hands...so don't let it go....Follow your passion... which will give you immense satisfaction...
Now the other aspect is even if you are not following your true passion OR you can not follow due to some other constraints... Don't complain about it and enjoy the work that you are doing... At least get the happiness which you could get out of your work..... Few people complain that if they try to be complacent, they loose the thrust to live the life with objectives... then it leads them to disappointments and despair ... Note here that being complacent, doesn't mean that you leave everything and be complacent with whatever you have.... I understand that Hope is life.. which teaches you and molds you.....So keep doing what you are....
The world is not imperfect, or on a slow path towards perfection: no, it is perfect in every moment, it is not possible for any person to see how far another one has already progressed on his path.. So be happy thinking that everything outside is perfect... there is no imbalance then what to worry about?
I hope that you must have understood my point here... Which matters here is true happiness which you could get out of your work.... and Soul satisfaction.... Spiritual journey is really important in your life.. so thinking in these aspects also makes you very strong about what you want to do and what you should not .... So think and Act.... :)
Appreciate your comments as well as critics...

People who believes in themselves
One principle that I follow in my life is "Karmanye Wa Dhikaraste Ma Faleshu Kadahachan" (Words From Bhagvad Geeta) ... Focus on your work and complete it with your 100% dedication but don't think & expect the results... If you expect something, and if you did not get it, it will lead you to an disappointment... IF you think practically a little bit, you will notice that you can just control on your efforts for your work but not on the results... So let the results come as fruition of your work items... And if you have done the work diligently, you will surely get the good results.. if you lacked in some aspects... it will not be complete... but never mind that gives you a chance to improve... So always be positive and learn from your mistakes...
Second Principle that I follow in my life is to Live your life with true happiness and Enjoy each and every moment of it with what you want to do in your life...The true passion..... Follow the passion.... Let the results be whatever it may be.... but don't leave your passion thinking about the results.... For last few days, one of my friend forwarded me the video link for one of the Professor Randy Pausch who was sufferred from Liver Cancer and was going to be with us for last of his few days.. I saw the video and was totally impressed with his words
and his enthusiasm which was exceptionally commendable.....The professor died on 25 July due to his long suffering but his thoughts and inspiration must be there with everyone who might have known him or might have seen his video...... My tribute to such a Gentleman... we need such People in our Society who believes in themselves as well as in the Society and believe in knowledge sharing to improve Society...If you get a chance, please watch his Videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9ya9BXClRw; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UxnpB_h_g8) Let me write a cliche that Randy has mentioned in his Videos "A man don't regret about the things that he did in his life when he is lying on his deathbed, rather what he does not" so pursue what you want to do in your life, as life is very short.
Just remember not to loose your present just thinking about your future, learn to enjoy the current moment whatever you get.... Be happy with yourself, as you have already put all the required efforts to succeed...So celebrate the outcome....
Don't attach yourself too much to material world outside.. Remember that the material world is for you... and not vice versa... I could see this attachment too much in our Country as compare to other countries... People give more significance to this material world than their own life and emotions.... Also learn to help and share knowledge with others in the Society... Let's make a better, efficient and happy society... Would you want to accompany? Appreciate your comments.

Life lessons
You will get all the relevant details on Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siddhartha_(novel)
One of my friend referred me the book, hence my journey also started. The book really prmopts you to gather all your consciousness and provoke you to focus more on your life objectives........ The story in the book is really good and thought provoking... Here are few nice snippets out of the book:
====================================================================
Nice Snippets from Siddhhartha:
- I want to begin my thoughts and my life with Atman and with the suffering of the world. I do not want to kill and dissect myself any longer, to find a secret behind the ruins. Neither Yoga-Veda shall teach me any more, nor Atharva-Veda, nor the ascetics, nor any kind of teachings. I want to learn from myself, want to be my student, want to get to know myself, the secret of Siddhartha
- No, this world of thought was also still on this side, and nothing could be achieved by killing the random self of the senses, if the random self of thoughts and learned knowledge was fattened on the other hand. Both, the thoughts as well as the senses, were pretty things, the ultimate meaning was hidden behind both of them, both had to be listened to, both had to be played with, both neither had to be scorned nor overestimated, from both the secret voices of the innermost truth had to be attentively perceived.
- Wen you throw a rock into the water, it will speed on the fastest course to the bottom of the water. This is how it is when Siddhartha has a goal, a resolution. Siddhartha does nothing, he waits, he thinks, he fasts, but he passes through the things of the world like a rock through water, without doing anything, without stirring; he is drawn, he lets himself fall. His goal attracts him, because he doesn't let anything enter his soul which might oppose the goal.
- Siddhartha looked upon all of the busines as if it was a game, the rules of which he tried hard to learn precisely, but the contents of which did not touch his heart.
- The thought which teaches that pleasure cannot be be taken without giving pleasure, and that every gesture, every caress, every touch, every look, every spot of the body, however small it was, had its secret, which would bring happiness to those who know about it and unleash it. She taught him, that lovers must not part from one another after celebrating love, without one admiring the other, without being just as defeated as they have been victorious, so that with none of them should start feeling fed up or bored and get that evil feeling of having abused or having been abused.
- The mysterious quality of those people to whom success comes all by itself, whether this may be a good star of his birth, magic, or something he has learned among Samanas. He always seems to be merely playing with out business-affairs, they never fully become a part of him, they never rule over him, he is never afraid of failure, he is never upset by a loss.
- The importance they were able to attach to their lives, the amount of passion in their joys and fears, the fearful but sweet happiness of being constantly in love. These people were all of the time in love with themselves, with women, with their children, with honours or money, with plans or hopes. But he did not learn this from them, this out of all things, this joy of a child and this foolishness of a child; he learned from them out of all things the unpleasant ones, which he himself despised. It happened more and more often that, in the morning after having had company the night before.
- Though he was near perfection and was bearing his final wound, it still seemed to him as if those childlike people were his brothers, their vanities, desires for possession, and ridiculous aspects were no longer ridiculous to him, became understandable, became lovable, even became worthy of veneration to him. The blind love of a mother for her child, the stupid, blind pride of a conceited father for his only son, the blind, wild desire of a young, vain woman for jewelry and admiring glances from men, all of these urges, all of this childish stuff, all of these simple, foolish, but immensely strong, strongly living, strongly prevailing urges and desires were now no childish notions for Siddhartha any more, he saw people living for their sake, saw them achieving infinitely much for their sake, travelling, conducting wars, suffering infinitely much, bearing infinitely much, and he could love them for it, he saw life, that what is alive, the indestructible, the Brahman in each of their passions, each of their acts. Worthy of love and admiration were these people in their blind loyalty, their blind strength and tenacity. They lacked nothing, there was nothing the knowledgeable one, the thinker, had to put him above them except for one little thing, a single, tiny, small thing: the consciousness, the conscious thought of the oneness of all life. And Siddhartha even doubted in many an hour, whether this knowledge, this thought was to be valued thus highly, whether it might not also perhaps
be a childish idea of the thinking people, of the thinking and childlike people. In all other respects, the worldly people were of equal rank to the wise men, were often far superior to them, just as animals too can, after all, in some moments, seem to be superior to humans in their tough, unrelenting performance of what is necessary.
- Already, he could no longer tell the many voices apart, not the happy ones from the weeping ones, not the ones of children from those of men, they all belonged together, the lamentation of yearning and the laughter of the knowledgeable one, the scream of rage and the moaning of the dying ones, everything was one, everything was intertwined and connected, entangled a thousand times. And everything together, all voices, all goals, all yearning, all suffering, all pleasure, all that was good and evil, all of this together was the world. All of it together was the flow of events, was the music of life. And when Siddhartha was listening attentively to this river, this song of a thousand voices, when he neither listened to the suffering nor the laughter, when he did not tie his soul to any particular voice and submerged his self into it, but when he heard them all, perceived the whole, the oneness, then the great song of the thousand voices consisted of a single word, which was Om: the perfection.
- "When someone is searching, then it might easily happen that the only thing his eyes still see is that what he searches for, that he is unable to find anything, to let anything enter his mind, because he always thinks of nothing but the object of his search, because he has a goal, because he is obsessed by the goal. Searching means: having a goal. But finding means: being free, being open, having no goal. You, oh venerable one, are perhaps indeed a searcher, because, striving for your goal, there are many things you don't see, which are directly in front of your eyes."
- Wisdom cannot be passed on. Wisdom which a wise man tries to pass on to someone always sounds like foolishness Knowledge can be conveyed, but not wisdom. It can be found, it can be lived, it is possible to be carried by it, miracles can be performed with it, but it cannot be expressed in words and taught.
- The opposite of every truth is just as true! That's like this: any truth can only be expressed and put into words when it is one-sided. Everything is one-sided which can be thought with thoughts and said with words, it's all one-sided, all just one half, all lacks completeness, roundness, oneness. When the exalted Gotama spoke in his teachings of the world, he had to divide it into Sansara and Nirvana, into deception and truth, into suffering and salvation. It cannot be done differently, there is no other way for him who wants to teach. But the world itself, what exists around us and inside of us, is never one-sided. A person or an act is never entirely Sansara or entirely Nirvana, a person is never entirely holy or entirely sinful. It does really seem like this, because we are subject to deception, as if time was something real. Time is not real, Govinda, I have experienced this often and often again. And if time is not real, then the gap which seems to be between the world and the eternity, between suffering and blissfulness, between evil and good, is also a deception.
- The world is not imperfect, or on a slow path towards perfection: no, it is perfect in every moment, all sin already carries the divine forgiveness in itself, all small children already have the old person in themselves, all infants already have death, all dying people the eternal life. It is nor possible for any person to see how far another one has already progressed on his path; in the robber and dice-gambler, the Buddha is waiting; in the Brahman, the robber is waiting. In deep meditation, there is the possibility to put time out of existence, to see all life which was, is, and will be as if it was simultaneous, and there everything is good, everything is perfect, everything is Brahman. Therefore, I see whatever exists as good, death is to me like life, sin like holiness, wisdom like foolishness, everything has to be as it is, everything only requires my consent, only my willingness, my loving agreement, to be good for me, to do nothing but work for my benefit, to be unable to ever harm me. I have experienced on my body and on my soul that I needed sin very much, I needed lust, the desire for possessions, vanity, and needed the most shameful despair, in order to learn how to give up all resistance, in order to learn how to love the world, in order to stop comparing it to some world I wished, I imagined, some kind of perfection I had made up, but to leave it as it is and to love it and to enjoy being a part of it.
- This stone is just a stone, it is worthless, it belongs to the world of the Maja; but because it might be able to become also a human being and a spirit in the cycle of transformations, therefore I also grant it importance. Thus, I would perhaps have thought in the past. But today I think: this stone is a stone, it is also animal, it is also god, it is also Buddha, I do not venerate and love it because it could turn into this or that, but rather because it is already and always everything-- and it is this very fact, that it is a stone, that it appears to me now and today as a stone, this is why I love it and see worth and purpose in each of its veins and cavities, in the yellow, in the gray, in the hardness, in the sound it makes when I knock at it, in the dryness or wetness of its surface. There are stones which feel like oil or soap, and others like leaves, others like sand, and every one is special and prays the Om in its own way, each one is Brahman, but simultaneously and just as much it is a stone, is oily or juicy, and this is this very fact which I like and regard as wonderful and worthy of worship.--But let me speak no more of this. The words are not good for the secret meaning, everything always becomes a bit different, as soon as it is put into words, gets distorted a bit, a bit silly--yes, and this is also very good, and I like it a lot, I also very much agree with this, that this what is one man's treasure and wisdom always sounds like foolishness to another person.
- A thought, it might be so. I must confess to you, my dear: I don't differentiate much between thoughts and words. To be honest, I also have no high opinion of thoughts. I have a better opinion of things. Here on this ferry-boat, for instance, a man has been my predecessor and teacher, a holy man, who has for many years simply believed in the river, nothing else. He had noticed that the river's spoke to him, he learned from it, it educated and taught him, the river seemed to be a god to him, for many years he did not know that every wind, every cloud, every bird, every beetle was just as divine and knows just as much and can teach just as much as the worshipped river. But when this holy man went into the forests, he knew everything, knew more than you and me, without teachers, without books, only because he had believed in the river.
- I do not care very much about. Let the things be illusions or not, after all I would then also be an illusion, and thus they are always like me. This is what makes them so dear and worthy of veneration for me: they are like me. Therefore, I can love them. And this is now a teaching you will laugh about: love, oh Govinda, seems to me to be the most important thing of all. To thoroughly understand the world, to explain it, to despise it, may be the thing great thinkers do. But I'm only interested in being able to love the world, not to despise it, not to hate it and me, to be able to look upon it and me and all beings with love and admiration and great respect.

Scientific Spirituality – Religion of the Future
=============================================================
The universe comes out of the union of two fundamental forces: matter (jada or ‘that which gives shape’) and consciousness (chetan). The discovery of the powers of Nature, their organization and the skills that make them useful to man is called science. Science can thus be called the unison of matter and consciousness. Science has made possible the progress of the human civilization.
It should be noted that the knowledge of the use of matter is not enough; its righteous use should also be considered. The same criterion also applies to consciousness. In the absence of their righteous use, matter and consciousness are open to be abused. The attraction of immediate gains is such that its long-term effects are not appreciated and this shortsighted judgment prompts man to misuse power. Ultimately, he creates a web in which he gets trapped, just like a fish caught in a net. This results in suffering, public anger and self-destruction, and yet it is a practice generally adopted by most people. The society and the government rarely succeed in preventing such practices.
Science can be legitimately credited for the current progress and prosperity, but it is incapable of differentiating between use and abuse. The only way to control its misuse is to incorporate wisdom based on foresightedness and the nobilities associated with human glory. This is the essence of spirituality. Spirituality means, “centered and established on the soul”, that is, activities in life are designed keeping the awakening of the soul as the aim. The soul is the individualized consciousness present in the human body.
The dual accomplishment of the righteous use of science and the refinement of consciousness is possible only through spirituality. One of the aims of the Yug Nirman Yojana (Movement for the Reconstruction of the Era) of All World Gayatri Pariwar is to integrate science and spirituality. Extensive research on this topic is going on at Brahmavarchas Research Institute and Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, India. The results of experiments show that spirituality has a sound scientific basis and spiritual principles practiced in daily life yield extraordinary benefits.
